Prof. Shoshi Keisari
Shoshi Keisari, Ph.D. is a certified drama therapist, supervisor and lecturer at the School of Creative Arts Therapies, University of Haifa, Israel. Her research areas include drama therapy and arts participation in aging; psychotherapeutic playback theatre; clinical gerontology; and drama therapy incorporate with grief therapy and palliative care.
She published her work in international refereed journals and presented it at international conferences. In addition, Prof. Keisari gained vast clinical experience in mental health institutes, hospitals, nursery homes, adults day care centers and private clinics. She is also the co-author of the book An Introduction to Psychotherapeutic Playback Theater: Hall of Mirrors on Stage, by Routledge.
Her work has been awarded private and public grant funds, including from the Israel Science Foundation; the Center for Research and Study of Aging’s Award; The Drama Therapy Fund’s Thesis/Dissertation Award; The Emili Sagol Creative Arts Therapies Research Center Grant; the APA Div 10 Micro-Grant; and the Minerva Center for Intersectionality in Ageing (MCIA).
